The Environmentally - Friendly Swaps to Make
The brand was created in 2017 by two sisters in their hometown of Ruse, Bulgaria, after they saw a gap in the market for an ethical brand that matched their urban-chic style.
All of its workers receive paid holidays, maternity leave and are part of the social security and healthcare programme in Bulgaria too.

Is Renting Your Clothes Better or Worse?
Gergana Damyanova, who founded London-based fashion brand Blonde Gone Rogue that focuses on sustainability and an ethical supply chain, agrees that encouraging consumers to buy fewer clothes and make what they do have last longer is the best solution to fashion’s environmental crisis.
“Rather than feeding the need to buy something new all the time, the fashion industry needs to focus on promoting longevity. It could do with a big messaging campaign to encourage people to keep something for longer instead of pushing them towards new all the time,” said Damyanova.

Meet The Sisters Battling Fast Fashion
Fashion brand Blonde Gone Rogue, based in London, wants to be the antidote to this new era of fast fashion.
Launched in 2017 by sisters Gergana and Deni Damyanova, the brand uses leftover fabric - also known as deadstock - to create its collections.
By using factories known to them in their home country of Bulgaria they are looking to take on the fashion behemoths through their 'radical' transparency.

Building and Ethical and Sustainable Fashion Brand
Gergana Damyanova is the co-founder and CEO at blonde gone rogue — a sustainable and ethical online-only fashion brand. Founded in 2017 in Amsterdam, moved to London, and went full time in 2019, and this year they’re on track to go over £350k in annual sales.
The brand looks at sustainability in terms of product and materials, and also the human aspect.
For the latter, Gergana wanted to make sure that they can verify and validate the factory where the products will come from. They had to find a place where workers are treated fairly in ways that matter.
On the materials side, they stepped away from conventional materials like cotton and started to use recycled materials, organic materials, and materials that use less resources such as bamboo.

This is What a Founder Looks Like
Unable to find a fashion brand that was both sustainable and the style of the clothes that they liked, sisters Gergana and Deni Damyanova set out to make their own.
Blonde Gone Rogue is a sustainable fashion brand. We are really working on creating the best possible product at the crossing point of fair price, sustainable product, and beautiful and interesting design. In the fashion industry, you have fast fashion on one side, which is a lot of fun but really bad from an ethical and environmental perspective, and on the other side, you have ethical and sustainable fashion that is very plain and boring, beige and greige, and not very exciting.
It's very hard for consumers who want to verify what they're purchasing to find out where their garments have come from and very often when they do, they're disappointed.
